Joey Graziadei achieves an impressive victory in the Dancing with the Stars

The grand finale of Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars, held on November 26, 2024, was an enchanting evening brimming with memorable performances. Five remarkable celebrities put on their best dances, all vying for the coveted mirrorball trophy.


The five finalists included:

Chandler Kinney paired with Brandon Armstrong,

Joey Graziadei teamed up with Jenna Johnson,

Ilona Maher alongside Alan Bersten,

Danny Amendola coupled with Witney Carson,

Stephen Nedoroscik with Rylee Arnold.

After an exciting semifinals round with no eliminations, all five pairs moved on to the finale. In the end, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson were crowned the champions.

Joey and Jenna captivated both the judges and the audience with their freestyle performance of “Canned Heat” by District 78 featuring Jake Simpson. They added a unique element to their routine by incorporating illuminated tennis rackets, effectively merging Joey's background as a tennis player with their dance.
Jenna expressed her emotions, stating, "I've longed for a partner like you who brings my choreography to life." Joey expressed his gratitude, saying, "This experience has been incredible. I want to thank my fellow finalists and the judges for everything.

Chandler Kinney and her partner Brandon Armstrong made history as the inaugural Black couple to advance to the finale of Dancing with the Stars. Their freestyle routine paid tribute to Black artists in the entertainment industry and achieved a flawless score of 30.

Judge Bruno Tonioli commended their performance, calling it “a magnificent celebration for the finale.” Chandler expressed, “Winning the mirrorball as the first Black couple would hold great significance.” Although they did not emerge as winners, their performance resonated profoundly with the audience.

Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten delivered a heartfelt freestyle performance to “Femininomenon” by Chappell Roan. Ilona dedicated the dance to young girls who identify with her, expressing, “I am strong and powerful, yet I can also embody grace.”

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba praised her as “a true leading lady.” Ilona also achieved a perfect score of 30, highlighting the significant progress she made over the course of the season.

Ex-NFL player Danny Amendola partnered with Witney Carson for an entertaining freestyle inspired by Barbie and Ken. Their performance to Lizzo’s “Pink” and Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken” impressed the judges, earning a remarkable score of 29 out of 30.

Judge Derek Hough referred to Danny as “the biggest surprise of the season,” commending his dedication and development as a dancer.

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold's performance of "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay moved the audience to tears. Their routine featured Stephen's gymnastics teammates and highlighted his remarkable journey on the show.

Judge Derek Hough remarked, "I recall watching you during the Olympics and believing you'd excel on this show." Although Stephen finished in fourth place, he made a lasting impact.

The winner from last season, Xochitl Gomez, made a special return to perform alongside her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy. They danced to “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan, celebrating her experience on the show. Xochitl expressed, “It’s truly special to highlight my partnership with Val once more.”
Following the conclusion of all the performances, the results were revealed:

5th place: Danny Amendola and Witney Carson

4th place: Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold

3rd place: Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong

Runner-up: Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten
